“An innocent love story”

As photographers we can easily get caught up in capturing everyone else’s memories and totally forget how important it is to create a record of our own.  Thing is, being a photographer doesn’t make your special moments any less important.  This is one of the reasons we did this shoot with Belle and Dave.  David is one of the faces behind our very own Origami Creatives and as his friend and business partner, I was both honoured and excited to photograph Dave and his lovely partner Belle.

Belle and Dave’s relationship is pure and simple.  Two creative, artistic, adventurous people who met and shared a wonderful connection (and a date at the Lindt Café).  Now they enjoy spending time together fulfilling their creative desires, planning exciting overseas adventures and just enjoying being in each other’s company.  They’re perfectly suited with Belle’s calm patience and love of organization balancing out Dave’s passion and spontaneity.  This perfect balance between the two of them it evident in the happiness and joy that exudes from Dave and Belle when they are in each other’s company.

Their shoot was an amazing one and a perfect reflection of their relationship together.  The day was hot and sunny and we worked from 7am till sunset.  Surrounded by the most perfect locations, we explored vineyards, lush green fields, gardens and deserted roads.  Finally at 8pm we were done making memories and exhausted and sunburnt we all headed home.  Now Dave and Belle have images to look back on, and in years to come they’ll remember that hot Summer day spent connecting, creating and capturing their special moments and memories.  That in itself is why we love photography so much!
