Way back in November, a good friend and common acquaintance introduced Stephanie and James to me. I was promised an awesome, good looking couple to add to our portfolio. Well we got that and so much more, and after months of anticipation we finally got to meet Steph and James in person. Their excitement towards their shoot was contagious and we brainstormed for hours and hours about ideas and concepts all while the excitement kept growing by the minute. That night I knew I had two dedicated and enthusiastic people willing to work with us and I made a promise that we would give them a shoot to remember.
Stephanie and James originally met through mutual friends during a night of clubbing. Although James neglected to buy Steph a drink, the couple still clicked straight away and continued to remain in contact via facebook. Now while Stephanie’s friends didn’t quite share in her enthusiasm towards James, his cuteness and persistence eventually won her over. Their first date was a romantic one, with James showing his sensitive, romantic side by opening car doors, offering his jacket when Steph was cold and even presenting her with a thoughtful gift.
It’s been 1.5 years since that first date and James and Stephanie have enjoyed many memorable moments in between. They like to describe their love as romantic, carefree and quirky with a little it of lameness thrown in now and then. That’s ok though, we can all be a little lame at times!
Once again a great big thank you to Stephanie and James for trusting Origami Creatives to capture the love the two of you share. We truly hope that these images make you smile now and for years to come. Oh, and if you contemplate doing another shoot in the future, you can count us in!
